Dermoscopy Structures

Understanding structures seen with the dermoscope is the foundation for interpretation of pigmented lesions. Many different structures and variations of those structures have been described. Understanding this bewildering classification was difficult for the busy clinician. The Consensus Conference held in Rome in 2001 clarified and simplified the classification. A description of the structures descried at that conference follows.
