Skin cancers are seen everyday by the dermatologist. Basal cell carcinoma is the most common invasive malignant cutaneous neoplasm found in humans. Actinic keratosis is a squamous cell carcinoma confined to the epidermis. This is the single most common disease seen by many dermatologists. Most actinic keratoses remain superficial. Some evolve into squamous cell arcinoma. Other less common but important neoplasms are discussed in this series of lectures.
