Lyme disease

The screening laboratory tests for Lyme disease performed by most laboratories is the enzyme immunoassay or the fluorescent antibody test. Positive results from either of these 2 tests are confirmed by the Western blot test. These tests are usually negative during the first few weeks of the disease.
