    The disease usually starts after the age of 30. Patient may think that they are developing adult acne. The family history may be positive. Patient’s was very active inflammation of the cheeks and nose may experience pain. Hot foods and drinks cause increased flushing. Alcohol may have a similar effect. Some patients report that spicy food is also an aggravating factor.
