Squamous cell carcinoma

Sunlight exposure is a major risk factor.  Most squamous cell carcinomas occur on the head, ears and neck. Patient’s with fair skin are at increased risk. Immunosuppressed organ transplantations patients are at great risk. Actinic keratoses can evolve into invasive squamous cell carcinoma.
