Seborrheic Keratosis Smooth Surfaced Lesions

Smooth surfaced lesions are dome shaped. They have tiny, round, white or black keratin pearls that may be seen just under the surface or protruding from the surface. These horn pearls are a highly characteristic feature and help differentiate these benign lesions from melanomas. Melanomas do not have horn pearls.
